Ugh Van Gogh
09/04/2010
ugh
Van Gogh
are you aware
what you have put me through?
well, echostains
invited me to a poetry challenge
though i am not a poet.
but for the fun of it
here it is.
i see that you are obsessed
with your myriad faces.
don’t tell me you’re not
why paint a lot?
kidding aside,
i admire you man
we both lack self-confidence
but still we want to give happiness.
so i guess what you are trying to say
in your self-portraits is,
‘no sense in taking thy own life
for thy own life has sense’.

is always a treat

What a beautiful man…this world was left a better place because of him.
Thanks for the reminder.

thanks to Lynda for the challenge.
yes he’s indeed beautiful and his works.
he’s so kind too to predict that there would be a great ‘painter of the future’. imagine how that line inspires so many artists.

HAHHA!!! I love your sense of humor. However, I do agree you are a great poet and should follow through with your passion for writing poetry. Best of success’ to you. Kindest, Ezzy

hello Ezzy!
how can i now say it’s hard?
thanks for the encouragement
i’ll keep on writing this way
regardless if it’s called poetry
or simply short lines entry.
i’ll tell you a secret
this is actually lazy in disguise
too lazy to write long
and think super strong
thanks for checking by the way
keep on inspiring along the way

This is a very unflowery sincere heartfelt poem – I’ve just put it on my blog! Going to add you to my blogroll now – glad I found this blog:)

thanks to you!
how i wish
you heard me laughed
the moment you asked.
i had so much fun, really
putting those lines so silly.

That was an awesome videa, and a terrific poem to go along with it. You are definitely a poet, whether or not you admit it. Peace, Linda

I agree with you…” ‘no sense in taking thy own life
for thy own life has sense’.” Great post! Have you ever heard the song about him? It is titled “Starry Starry Night by Don McLean. You can watch and listen to it on youtube.
I am so thankful that God puts people like you on the earth who enjoy giving happiness to others. I thank you and I thank Him.

thank you!
if this is what i get
then there’s no regret
in taking up the challenge
of Van Gogh’s suspense.
i’ll see Don McLean in a while
to hear Starry Starry Night with a smile
