F is for Floccinaucinihilipilification
04/07/2011
Warning: This is a FLOCCINAUCINIHILIPILIFICATION post!
Meaning something that is worthless or trivial or unimportant.
Why waste so much effort in writing and pronouncitiaticazating er pronouzing — Ok, in saying it! In saying it to describe something trivial? Oh men why do we make our lives so complicated?
Is there a need to say, “You are floccinaucinihilipilification too!” to somebody who said that you are floccinaucinihilipilification? That you are not good enough? That you are not beautiful?
Yes you can but be sure that you can pronounce it perfectly! I could not *sigh*.
Otherwise let’s just move on and accept that we can’t demand others to love us.
But never stop loving and doing something and appreciating and believing and…
FORGIVE the floccinaucinihilipilification, you are beautiful.
FORGET the floccinaucinihilipilification, you are amazing.
Go ahead be beautifully amazing. You are originally designed as such by the Artist.

anti-floccinaucinihilipilification!
Thanks to The Free Dictionary and to you! 🙂

Someone made me feel like that word today. 😦 but, it’s not true, right? You and God say so! So I’m forgiving and forgetting. phew. So glad He has you come to my rescue!
04/07/2011 at 1:31 PM
Not the least true Deb!
I had a hard time accepting that — repeating in my mind what somebody else said until I listened to God. I am woman, my worth isn’t in somebody else mouth but in my heart; in my God.
Love and hugs to you precious Deb! 🙂

I agree. Simply and without the convoluted complicated word.

From The Free Dictionary in search of something trivial to show how crazy we are sometimes.
Blessings to you Becca 🙂
04/07/2011 at 1:09 AM
This has me laughing, because this long and convoluted word referring to someone viewing someone or something else as trivial, worthless, or valueless, has so much less value than the one God created who is being viewed as such. Okay, that was almost as long and convoluted as the word! 😉 How do you find these crazy words? Dictionary.com says this word is “encountered mainly as an example of one of the longest words in the English language.” But I encountered it here as an example of what we are not in God’s eyes! Peace, Linda
04/07/2011 at 8:06 AM
Linda, what if all hurtful words are this long so that it will discourage us from saying it? But then what the heart says won’t escape from God so it’s best to acknowledge the value in each of us. Peace too! 🙂

Princess Rea,
29 Letters? Wow. And it has meaning too!!
Pronouncing ‘Floccinaucinihilipilification’ feels pretty much like a tongue twister. H is for headache. lol
Thanks for sharing. This is another brand new one for me.
Blessings,
ann

Ann, yes it has meaning — combination of words that all means of little value. Looks like somebody is bent on making someone feel so unworttthhhhhhyyy.
Origin: Latin floccī + naucī + nihilī + pilī all meaning “of little or no value, trifling” + -fication
Very much like each annoyance that we keep — piling up until it became more than headache! 🙂
