My Pants Zipper Broke

01/28/2011

And I’m soooo thankful that my underwear is the same color!

Believe me it means lesser worries but still I have to sneak in the hallway!

If you are going to ask me the color of my pants, sorry my lips are zipped.

I will only open it up to ask you this — When your life seems to break, does your outside match your inside?

Are you grateful that it matched? That it didn’t matched?

Are you sneaking that they won’t notice the difference?

I believe that my zipper broke for a reason –

that I may hear and learn from your wisdom again!

:)

  1. haha, what a bad situation. hope i dont run into such a situation myself.

  2. Wow! A lot of different things going on in your post Spoon. Because I truly believe in being REAL…what you see is what you get. My inside (panties) matches my outside (Pants), however I’ve come to realize that not everyone can handle seeing my panties, nor should everyone see my panties…it’s only meant for “special” people. But if you are fortunate enough to see my panties, you will find that what you imagined in your mind is as real as it come :)

On another note, I make it habit to match my panties with my outfit. Some may say TMI (too much information), I say I am real with myself…accept it or leave it! Not looking for approval…just other real folks like me…because Eagles only soar with other Eagles. :) I loved the video….touching and so true.

Spoon, I always tell you this…you’ve touched my life in a very special way ever since we’ve connected. Thank you. Treasure

Woooooot for your candidness and conviction! Oh yes I can see you soaring for God leaving the dust of the past behind. You have been true to your heart thus you open it up to manifest what is inside but as you said not everyone should see your panties — those who can’t handle it and those who will whisper to another what color it is! lol

Thank God if I touched your life because I feel the same too for you and all of my blog friends. You all have added a beautiful dimension in my life. If it’s part of the house I would say it’s a balcony where it’s open to several views yet cozy. A good place to learn and ponder.

Have a fantastic day! I just did! :)

Made me think of the ‘toothpaste theory’ … what do you get when you squeeze a tube of toothpaste? It should be toothpaste … but you’re never quite sure until you squeeze it.

Not sure if my inside and outside match. Not sure if I want them to or not :-) The outside is important to man but God looks deeper than that. Praying both sides are okay with Him ;-)

    Suddenly Zipper Conscious, :-)

Your question has so many facets to it…but I would have to say that since I don’t want to burden others with my own problems I can be cheerful on the outside when I am crying on the inside…I guess that would mean my pants and my underwear don’t match. :)

I know what you mean Jay. When I was so bitter I oftentimes chose not to look bitter — just bland when I’m weak enough to pull my lips up. But sometimes I succeed smiling and it somehow helps me and others too.

Yes our undies and pants don’t match during those times and I’m happy with it! :)

    Love the video!

I like the fact you say:
‘My lips are sealed’ when unfortunately your zip doesn’t live by the same motto! lol

but where were you when this wardrobe malfunction took place? Because that, as we all know, makes all the difference :)

Love your honesty, it makes you more special than you realize.
    Take care Alan

Oh oh, in the office. I have 2 options then:

      1. I’ll bring a folder everywhere I go including in the restroom — but I’m afraid I will get promoted.
      2. Stand tall with chin up so that they will look up too, way above my pants.

So I chose #2 — that is despite sneaking, somebody else still came my way. harhar! :)

What came to mind immediately was the thought of when my dress ripped up the back . . .and I didn’t know when it happened. My hubby told me when I got back home from delivering papers . .. door to door . . .to about 120 people. And, no, my panties didn’t match!!! Good thing I’m old or I might have wanted to move to another town.
You think and get us to think, in amazing ways. :) Praying that my inner person and outer person reflect the same me, the one He keeps working on.

    • bendedspoon Says:

ahaha! Good thing you didn’t know otherwise you won’t be smiling to each of them! Do you notice if their smile was bigger than usual? lol

Deb I said to God, “Okay I’ll play it cool but You have a good reason for this, right?” :)

      • Debbie Says:

What did He say??? Just a wink? haha! Oh, that wonderful God of ours!
Ya . . .I should have used some of those papers to cover my rear! But instead, I was just out enjoying myself, smiling . . .feeling free! eeekkk!

        • bendedspoon Says:

ahaha! I so love imagining you Deb. How I wish you could visit me too!

I haven’t heard from Him yet but I want to believe that He wants me not to stop my world going just because my zipper stop working; that He wants me to have fun too; that He wants me to realize that perfect moments do not rely on events — it’s in the heart, with Him! :)

  7. Oh, this one really made me think….We can put on an act and try to convince people that we are better than we really are when we are not. We can also have great beauty on the inside, and where outfits that makes us plain and unnoticeable.

You are so good at coming up with simple statements that convict and encourage. Thank you so much!

    Love,
    Theresa

This made me think too thus I post it here — a good place to hear different perspectives from everyone.

And I appreciate so much what you have shared. This made me think of courtship stage when we oftentimes put the best foot forward and then later on put the feet up on the table. lol.

But that beauty, the one who can truly see won’t miss it no matter what the outfit is. What do you think?

Love you beautiful Theresa — I suddenly remember the Mona Lisa post. :)
