The question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be… The nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.

Hmmm…I both agree and disagree with the quote (although I am very fond of Mr. King and his work). The world DOES need more creativity, but all things need to be in balance…in moderation. Extremism is sometimes needed to get a point across or to shake things up, but as it is almost always tied to passion, it can sometimes be too much of a good thing – which is possible, and why I strive for balance. 🙂

Now you made me think and balance my thoughts. So much destruction were brought by extremism; so much growth resulted from extremism. Where these two situations lead the individual shall help the person decide if extremism is good at all, or not. Peace and blessings to you 🙂

Guilty as charged. Extreme passion, extremely teachable, extreme awareness of God’s presence in it all.

And your beauty is shining Linda because you are an extremist for God! 🙂

The word extremist has been hijacked by the press to mean everything bad. If only we could have more people who were extremists, but in peace, love and sharing; what a wonderful world it would be!
Nice quote, as usual spoon 🙂
take care Alan.

I loved Linda’s comment about extreme love! 🙂 And what about extreme humility? That might be a positive extreme to work on.
God bless you and all the ways He uses your creativity!

Creative extremists? Positive extremists. Can you be too positive? I have never experienced too much of a truly good thing.
07/02/2011 at 6:57 AM
One could be a creative extremist and it’s still a question of what kind of extremist? Creative criminal or creative innovator? 🙂
Can one be too positive? The person that comes first to mind is Job so I guess being too positive could be having deep faith as well.
Too much or too little is nothing but a frame of mind. For same quantity of something, how you see it could not be the same on 2 different occasions. I am sure one day you will look back and realized that you have experienced too much of a truly good thing or maybe you need not look back — too much of a good thing could be now 🙂

Extreme love! That’s the ticket! 🙂 I think Dr. King, Jr. would approve of that. Peace, Linda

I love that Linda! I thought I have loved so much but each time I can love more — so extreme love must be a journey. Can you expound that? Because I can’t 🙂

I do think that could be a future blog post! Great idea, thanks. Peace, Linda
