C is for Clap! Clap! Clap!

Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
I’m clapping for you who are reading this! I’m so happy that you are well today!
We clap to show our appreciation and amusement. We usually do it for others but it’s good to clap for ourselves too. See what it can do to you by clapping the moment you wake up and say your praise or declare that, “I will have a wonderful day today! I will make it happen!”
Not all though is happy to see you clapping. If this makes you uneasy then practice one hand clapping which now brings us to the age-old question, “What is the sound of one hand clapping?”
Now please allow me to clap in appreciation for a wonderful C blessing — Creative Blog Award!
Thank you so much Deirdra of A Storybook World! Deirdra is a professional writer and illustrator and looks like she is a fairy too — see her fairy wings!
Oh God I feel so C today — CONTENTED. Far from what I felt a few years ago…
When I was a little miss
I had only one Sunday dress
Its color is yellow
And I love it so
Each Sunday I was excited
Smiling as I get dressed
I felt like a princess
With my yellow dress
When I turned into a woman
I had more clothes than some
But funny how I felt less
Stressed and depressed
Having more isn’t being more
If inside I felt so poor.

Can we now CHEER UP and CLAP? One or two hands, it’s good for us!

Ohlala I Am Stylish!
02/12/2011
How lucky could I get? Well, I am nominated for the Stylish Blogger Award by a very talented and stylish woman — Linda Lewis of Lulu’s Musings!
Want to eat in style? Check her special table settings!
Want to wear stylish handmade and handwoven? Check her Designs Gallery!
Want to be in style? Check her lovely hair and smile!
Now back to why I am stylish, I’m confused too because I consider myself as styleless, not stylish!
But hey, a nomination is a nomination so I’m accepting it oh so graciously!
With the acceptance of the nomination I am supposed to share 7 things about myself so here they are.
1. My sole’s best friend is a flat glittered red crocs shoes. And my soul’s best friend is God!
2. I love stones and I wear beach stones earrings. Never mind if they’re not of the same shape!
3. I make bottle caps necklaces for my kiddos. And mine too!

2. Alan. You remember the commercial of Oreo cookies where the big bro dunk the cookie in the glass of milk and the kiddo used a sippy cup? He was behind it! Alan, what’s your role in there again? Come on tell us while I chow my Oreo and savor the nomination!
And I am nominating everyone for best in smile! You deserve the best smile so run to the mirror now!

D.I.Y. Gecko Ironing Table
01/13/2011
.
What to do with unused ironing board?
I painted it with gecko and turn it to fun table for my kiddos and mine too!
D-ON’T. I-RON. Y-O!
Gecko Trivia:
It has no eyelids.
Expel a foul-smelling material and feces onto their aggressors.
Gecko toes adhere to most surfaces due to its special adaptation.
Some female is capable of reproducing without copulating with a male.
Some drop their tails in defense and may be generated later on, self amputation.
Thank God He didn’t make us like gecko!
No eyelids? How would the professor know if we’re sleeping or not?
Expel feces to the aggressors? And stink and shame ourselves? No way!
Toes adhere to most surfaces? I don’t want to run after my kiddos on the walls!
Female to reproduce alone? No dads? No falling in-love or out of love? Hmmmm
Regenerate tail? When old, how would a wrinkle-free appendage would look on me?
D-ESIGNED BY GOD. I-N MOST LOVING WAY. Y-OU ARE WELL-CRAFTED!
Now you choose what to discuss – gecko, man, God or table?

Be Fearful of Mediocrity
11/07/2010
“Be fearful of mediocrity”
Take that from a guy who has 30 awards in advertising and counting for more!
You would really want to check his site for collection of graphics
that might inspire and puzzle you or just make you go hmm and whoa!
And to top it all, there’s something on his top — a topnotch mind.
Now that I’m already spinning like a top, go meet the total package guy.
Yes, he knows a great deal about packaging
which will make you want to buy whatever is inside.
I’m talking about Alan Firmin — A. Firmin — Affirming!
Go see Alan now in HERE!
By the way, I’m guilty of so many mediocre works and attitudes.
The results killed me a number of times.
Now, I learned my lessons — got to love myself really good. lol
I am actually learning from all of you.
So, THANK YOU!

If I were Dr. Seuss’ Niece
10/20/2010
I will come up with this notsooriginal quotes!
Today I am I, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Ier than I!
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind need to sharpen their mind.
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more you know that you have so much to know.
A person’s a person, no matter how lame the excuses.
Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, that’s the exercise of the mind.
So much for that silly quote. Here’s something really awesome that Dr. Seuss will approve of — Cat in the Hat and Grinch nail art!
Check the how to’s of this nail art by the lovely lady in Furry Fury Nail Art.
That’s it. Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because…I said so.
Thank you Dr. Seuss…sneeze!

Presenting Linda!
10/11/2010
Not Wonder Woman Lynda Carter but the WONDERFUL Lindas whom I’m honored to meet here in blogosphere!
1st, Linda Kruschke. She’s a lawyer. No I’m not saying that because, “You have the right to remain silent…” I just want to say that I like her because she’s not judgmental but God committal. You know you want to read her Legal, Social, and Absolute Tolerance and other posts with in-depth analysis. Read it and be blessed!
2nd, Linda Hewett of Positive Spin. She’s a Confidence Coach and Writer. She wants to try to solve your problems so go tell her, it’s free! But first you would want to check her posts which are inspiring, enlightening, interesting, amazing and all positive INGS you can think of. Psst, please smile back at her and see how good it feels.
3rd, Linda Lewis of Lulu’s Musings. She’s a collage, a creator, a dreamer, an optimist and so many things! How could I not like her when most of her interests are mine too. I love checking her place because there is so much energy and creativity in there. And one more thing, I love her hair!
4th, Lynda Roberts of Echostains. Yes she’s not Linda but still she’s wonderful! I couldn’t forget the fun I had when she invited me to join her Van Gogh poetry challenge – I had a very good laugh with my Ugh Van Gogh. Her place is full of art – sculptures, paintings, designs, and even typewriter art. Go check her place and delight your heART!
This is about Wonder Woman after all. Mama, you’re not included in here because your name isn’t Linda but you are a Wonder Woman!
Any Wonder Woman in your life that you want to share? Yes, the name need not be Linda.

Tofu with Asparagus and Mushroom
10/01/2010
Yup that is inspired by my favorite veggies!
I simply requested it from Melissa
and the talented fashion designer was gracious enough
to came up with it here in Pink Spilled Paint!
And for my recipe, here try it.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups 1/2 inch cubed firm tofu
200 grams asparagus, sliced into 1-inch pieces
1 cup sliced shiitake mushroom
3 tbsp oyster sauce mixed with 1/4 cup water
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic and tofu together until the tofu turns light gold.
2. Add the shiitake mushroom and the oyster sauce mixture. Leave for about 10 minutes.
3. Toss the asparagus with the tofu mushroom. It will take about 4 minutes for the asparagus to cook.
4. Transfer to a serving plate.
BURP!
hmm I think a red bell pepper dress would be lovely.
How about you, what veggie dress do you have in mind right now?
Let’s IMAGINE it altogether!
🙂

Motherhood is a JOB!
08/20/2010
How can I hate a JOB?
It’s a hug
It’s love
It’s kisses
It’s funny antics
It’s a prayer
It’s a frown
It’s a tantrum
It’s a battle
It’s a scar
It’s grrrr
Everyday is Valentine’s Day,
Resurrection, Halloween,
Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving
Sweet, saucy, spicy or scary
That’s my JOB – Jar Of Blessings!
What is yours?
Life is a game of chess
08/13/2010
kibitzer? ah, a player
far from a grandmaster
a gambit? you bet
on to the checkered board
protect the king
care for the queen
respect the bishop
let loose the horse
move the rook from the nook
and yes, eat the prawns!
do you love it, chessmate?
ponder, J’adoube or move
zugzwang or zwischenzug
whether a blunder or an en prise
win, lose or draw
you made a difference, you know.
🙂
Hi! Are you ok?
08/07/2010
Can you move your fingers right now?
Can you read this perfcet wrods?
Can you see the dust between the keyboards?
Can you hear your restless thoughts?
Can you still smell that soap in your arm?
Can you taste your tongue?
Can you feel someone really cares?
Can you look up what’s in your ceiling?
Can you see beyond the ceiling and see the Universe?
Can you please say, “I am ok.” — twice?
Thank you for letting me know that you’re ok!
🙂
